Q: Why did I get a rash after using the Sea Spray Magnesium Deodorant?

A:  Some people might experience a rash or irritation at first, here are a couple of possibilities:

• It may be a detox reaction as your body expels the toxins from previous toxic deodorant, or from medications or certain foods.
• OR it could be that your body is very deficient in magnesium, which sometimes can cause this reaction (or swollen glands in the arm pits). This will go away once your body receives enough magnesium on its own. It could take a week or more.
• If very painful, discontinue use, then try it again in 2 weeks. Usually the irritation does not reoccur.

In addition, it could be that you shaved your underarms before applying, this can cause irritation. Please do not shave for 24 hours after applying until your body gets used to it.

Q: My eye/face cream will not pump right, it squirts or doesn't pump at all! What's wrong?

A: We use a new technology called an AIRLESS VACUUM SYSTEM in our Caffeine Eye Whip, and all Face Whip products. This system uses a vacuum, a little round disc at the bottom of the bottle that is pushed up as the cream is pumped out. This allows all of the product to be used, to the last drop of cream, for a better value. In addition, the lack of air inside the bottle keeps this all natural cream fresh much longer.

PUMP MUST BE PRIMED BEFORE 1ST USE. This mean you need to pump it 10 or so times to force the air out. You may need to pump it more (sometimes in rare occasions 30 or more). 

ISSUES with the Pump?

1. Tap the bottle on the counter about 10 times (pretty hard, but not hard enough to break it) and it should dislodge the air bubbles. If this does not work, try #2 below. 
2. Insert a large paper clip (opened) up into the little hole in the bottom of the bottle.
3. While pressing the pump lightly, push the paper clip in so that it pushes the little disc inside the bottle up and pushes the cream out.

This should force any air bubbles out and the pump should work properly from this point on.

Q: Why is the straw on my face cream pump so short? Is it broken?

Q: Are your products gluten free?

A: Yes. Unfortunately, the body care industry has led people to believe that putting a gluten free product on your skin is necessary if you have Celiac disease or gluten intolerance (more of a marketing tactic); however this is not true. The gluten in a body care product never actually reaches the stomach or digestive system, hence it's not really that important, but our products are gluten free anyway.

Q: Do you use synthetic fragrance in any of your products?

A: No. Not EVER. We only use all natural and organic gourmet flavor extracts and other all natural flavors. The gourmet flavors are actually used in food and can be eaten on their own or when added to food/drinks.

Q: Is Titanium Dioxide in any of your products?

A: Titanium Dioxide in very small amounts of the NON NANO particle form is in a few of our products. This ingredient is not considered to be harmful or toxic - there is a lot of misinformation out there so be careful where you get your information from. The health concerns presently circulating the web are for the POWDERED products that you can inhale, not for liquid skin care products or makeup. Please read more about it on our blog.

Q: Why did I get a rash after using the Cocoshea Deodorant?

A:  Some people might experience a rash or irritation at first, which can be a detox reaction as your body expels the toxins from previous toxic deodorants. Or it could be your body adjusting to the PH. You can try the following:

1. Mix 1 Tablespoon Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with 1 Cup Distilled Water and spray under your arms. Let dry. Then apply deodorant. Do this for 1 week.
2. If this doesn't help, try using vinegar spray only for 1 week or until rash clears up. Vinegar is a natural antibacterial and helps odors on its own.
3. When all irritation is gone, try using the deodorant again. There is a good chance the irritation will not reoccur.
4. If it happens again, you might have an allergy to one of the ingredients. You can try using it again in 3-4 weeks, but if no change discontinue use. Try our Sea Spray Magnesium Natural Roll On Deodorant, which is baking soda free.
